P.R.O.A.C.T. was developed over a 25-year career of successfully de-escalating individuals in crisis. It equips first responders in any environment with practical verbal tools and techniques to de-escalate effectively and efficiently — and to guide people toward the resources and support they truly need.
The training is uniquely tailored to incorporate biblical principles into the de-escalation process, making it a natural fit for church safety and security teams — and just as valuable anywhere a crisis can arise: at work, in ministry, and in everyday life.

Eric Ray
Eric is a seasoned corrections professional with a background in both tactical and negotiations operations. He began his career in 1996 with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, serving in a variety of roles as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Throughout his career, he specialized in crisis response, young adult offender programs, and institutional leadership — including service on emergency response and hostage negotiation teams. He contributed to policy development, staff training, and instruction within the department, and was awarded the PADOC Medal of Valor. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he holds a degree in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He retired in 2021 after 25 years of service.
He considers his greatest accomplishments to be his 34-year marriage, raising four children, and his faith in Jesus Christ.
